The Mitten Mets, an organization of Nash Metropolitan car owners, will host its 2008 invitational in conjunction with the Onsted Kiwanis Show Car Nationals on Saturday at Michigan International Speedway.
Although the 1950s Metropolitan will be the featured show car, up to 1,000 collector cars from every automotive era will be on display. There also will be a juried arts and crafts show, concessions, manufacturer’s exhibits and kids’ activities.
Irv Cass, an Elvis impersonator, will give two live performances on Saturday.
The invitational will kick off at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast. Food concessions will open at 10 a.m.
Admission is $1 for adults and free for children younger than 14. There is no charge for parking.
