Three centuries of history will be re-enacted Saturday and Sunday at Walker Tavern Historic Site in Cambridge Junction.
“Walk Through Time” will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The event will feature a variety of hands-on activities, including starting a fire with flint and steel, throwing a tomahawk, or dancing a waltz, polka or schottische.
Highlights of the event will be a sneak peek at the original stagecoach-era play “A Wild Time at Walker Tavern,” a concert by a Civil War-era brass band, military drills, pioneer cooking demonstrations and more.
Author Audrey Woods will be on hand to sign copies of her book, “Cambridge Heritage.”
Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children 5 to 12 and free for children younger than 5.
